Green Bay Alder Candidate Has Never Voted in Green Bay
Alder candidate Jessica Radunzel is reportedly not registered to vote and has not voted in Green Bay.
Jessica's Background
Jessica graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies in the summer of 2009. Since then, she has had a successful career in various businesses across the greater Twin Cities area. Notably, Kwik Trip store management and, most recently, a United Airlines flight attendant. Jessica has moved to different parts of the county, and even to Mexico for some time. Per her campaign website, she moved to Green Bay and met her husband, Recordo. Together, they manage Jam-Rock on Bodart Street.
The Campaign
Jessica is a newcomer to the political scene, with no registration record per the Wisconsin Elections Commission database and no voting record as of February 14th, 2026, in Green Bay per the City of Green Bay. Jessica's policies listed on her website are heavy on platitudes, with no specific stances on issues. Her priorities revolve around fixing roads and streets, building affordable housing in collaboration with programs in Wisconsin and the federal government, and supporting small businesses in Green Bay. She promises a representative in herself who will be open, transparent, and collaborate with the people of Green Bay regardless of political affiliation.
Jam-Rock
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Jessica's husband, Recordo Neil, is facing two felony charges: recklessly endangering safety and substantial battery-intended bodily harm. The police memo accuses Neil of appearing to kick a man on the floor repeatedly, claims of a gunshot by an employee, and bullet fragments that responding officers picked up. For these actions, the police department recommended to the City of Green Bay that Neil's liquor license be revoked.
To revoke or not renew someone's license for something that hadn't been adjudicated, you're really taking away someone's livelihood and their investment and their assets.
Alder Brian Johnson claimed, who is allegedly friends with those who collected signatures for Radunzel's campaign. Johnson motioned to approve the renewal, seconded by Alder Joey Prestley. The motion was approved unanimously.
Competition
Last Tuesday, there was a primary election with two other candidates for Green Bay's Alder District 4. Jon Shelton, who ran in 2023, may be a familiar name. Shelton is the Chair of Democracy and Justice Studies at UW-Green Bay. He is currently the president of the American Federation of Teachers-Wisconsin. Jon's number one issue is the housing crisis. Douglas Cayer may also have been known in the community as a local rock musician. Cayer is concerned with the burdens of permits, rules on small business owners, and taxes. Many of Jessica's same priorities are repeats of what's on her website: repairing roads, funding police, and balancing the budget.
